Meet Meghan, our practice manager. Meghan joined Dr. Miller’s team in November 2023 and has quickly grown to love his practice, patients, and team.
Meghan has been in dentistry for over 20 years with expertise in private practice management and complex case treatment planning in maxillofacial prosthodontics. She has been longtime member American Association of Dental Office Managers and continues her education to stay in the forefront of the Dental Industry. Meghan is passionate about creating and supporting a practice setting that is professional, caring, calming, and patient- centric.
“My goals for myself and our team is to meet and exceed our patients’ needs and expectations. I want to be part of helping our patients achieve their dental health and smile goals. I want our patients to feel appreciated and cared for and to be the practice they feel confident and trust referring their friends and family to.”
Meghan is a native Oregonian. As a true Northwesterner Meghan loves our great outdoors and takes frequent trips to the mountains, the ocean, and the high desert with her young son. She is also a certified group fitness and yoga instructor and believes “those who are flexible can’t be bent out of shape.”

Meet Linda, our Clinical Manager/Lead Surgical Assistant and Dr. Miller’s right hand. Simply put, our office would not be the same without Linda. Linda has worked for Dr. Miller for over 20 years and is an invaluable part of our team.
Linda has been in dentistry for over 35 years and graduated from California State University, Hayward in 1995. She acquired her Oral Surgery Assistant Certification in 2003 and maintains her ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) every two years. She also has certification for starting IV’s and doing blood draws.
In the office, she assists Dr. Miller in various procedures and spends a great deal of her time working and consulting one on one with patients so they have a complete understanding of their recommended treatment.

Meet Rebecca, our lead dental hygienist. Rebecca joined Dr. Miller’s team in December 2021 and has come to absolutely love her team and her patients. She shares Dr. Miller’s passion for learning and evolving both in life and in her work.
“Dr. Miller fosters a climate of learning more than any doctor I’ve worked with, and I have probably learned more in the past two years with him than I have in the rest of my dental career combined.”
Most recently Rebecca passed the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination, which allows her to assist in oral and maxillofacial surgeries during which patients are sedated. She is also proficient in local anesthesia as well as nitrous oxide sedation. Being an expanded functions Dental hygienist is a top priority for Rebecca so that she may provide the best care and environment for her patients and their needs for a successful treatment experience and outcome.
Rebecca Hanson grew up in Arizona and has been living in Oregon for the past 11 years. She has been working as a Registered Dental Hygienist for 19 years and takes great pride in building good relationships with and providing quality, individualized care for all her patients. She values integrity, honesty, and free thought. She is fluent in American Sign Language and loves to read, travel, play the cello and spend time with her friends and boyfriend in her free time.

Meet Karie, our Clinical Dental Assistant & Administrative Support. Karie joined Dr. Miller’s team in February 2026 and has quickly become a trusted and valued member of our team.
With 34 years of experience in dental assisting, Karie brings a depth of knowledge and a genuine passion for patient care. What she values most about dentistry is the relationships she has built over the years and the privilege of getting to know so many wonderful patients.
Karie believes there is nothing more rewarding than being part of a team that truly works well together. She understands that a positive, supportive environment not only strengthens the team, but is something patients can feel the moment they walk through the door.
Known for her warmth, experience, and team-oriented approach, Karie is dedicated to helping create a welcoming and comfortable experience for every patient. She takes pride in contributing to a practice that is thoughtful, collaborative, and patient-centered.
Outside of the office, Karie enjoys the simple joys of everyday life—morning coffee, peaceful walks in nature, and soaking up the sunshine and fresh air. She is a proud grandmother to three grandchildren who keep life fun, lively, and full of love. At the end of the day, she enjoys heading home to her cat, Phoebe, who keeps things entertaining and may just think she’s in charge.

Meet Jennifer, our Clinical Dental Assistant & Administrative Support. Jennifer joined Dr. Miller’s team in November 2025 and has quickly become a trusted and valued member of our team.
Jennifer brings over 25 years of experience in dentistry, with a strong background in general dentistry and endodontics across both private practice and public health settings.
Throughout her career, Jennifer has been especially passionate about serving patients in underserved communities, including those in addiction recovery programs. She finds deep fulfillment in helping patients restore not only their oral health, but also their confidence and sense of self.
Known for her calm presence, attention to detail, and genuine compassion, Jennifer is dedicated to creating a supportive and comfortable experience for every patient. She takes pride in contributing to a practice environment that is professional, thoughtful, and patient-centered.
An Oregon native, Jennifer has a deep connection to the Pacific Northwest and enjoys spending time outdoors. Whether on the water, snowboarding, hiking, or traveling with family and friends, she embraces adventure and new experiences. Most recently, she has developed a passion for DIY home projects and enjoys continually learning new skills.

Dr. Miller is a Dental Implant Specialist in Hillsboro who has been in private practice since 1981. Dentistry is his passion and he loves delivering high-quality care to his patients. He is skilled in I.V. sedation, dental implants, bone and connective tissue grafting as well as cosmetic dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation. He graduated from OHSU School of Dentistry in 1979.
Dr. Miller has a lifelong commitment to “hands on” continuing education and believes that this has enabled him to provide excellent care for his patients. After becoming a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in 1981, he achieved his Fellowship in 1989 and Master in 2005. He has been a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) since 2008 and is an AAID Honored Fellow. Dr. Miller received board certification with the title Diplomat of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry in 2014. In addition, he was awarded his Fellowship with the AAID is an Honored Fellow as of 2020. Dr. Miller also serves on the AAID’s Ethics and nominating committees.
As Portland’s Dental Implant Specialist, Dr. Miller has taught and continues to teach hands on dental implant dentistry in the Oregon Dental Implant Continuum residency course as well as connective tissue grafting courses for the Oregon AGD. He was President of the Academy of Cosmetic and Adhesive Dentistry from 1991-92. Dr. Miller is also a Clinical Director/Clinical Site Supervisor, Jacksonville University’s Comprehensive Oral Implantology Program and oversees residents at Oregon Dental Implant Residency’s Hillsboro location.
Dr. Miller is married to Laurie M. Hesla DMD, FAGD, retired from Private practice. They have two grown daughters and four grandchildren. He enjoys fishing and bird watching in his spare time.
